This Shipping and Exchange Policy (“Policy”) governs the delivery of physical products (Gold, Silver, Diamonds, Gemstones, and Coins) and the terms under which items can be exchanged on the website and mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”) operated by Kalyani Ornaments Private Limited.

By placing an order, redeeming your digital gold balance, or claiming your maturity benefit under the 11+1 Savings Plan, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

PART A: SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

1. GENERAL SHIPPING TERMS

  • Coverage: We deliver physical jewelry and gold/silver coins across India through our network of trusted and secure logistics partners (e.g., BlueDart, Sequel Logistics, Delhivery).

  • Insured Transit: Every package shipped by Kalyani Ornaments is 100% fully insured against theft, loss, or damage during transit. The insurance cover remains active until the package is successfully handed over to you or your authorized representative at the delivery address.

  • Serviceable Pin Codes: Delivery is restricted to serviceable pin codes. If your pin code is unserviceable, we will notify you at the time of checkout, and you may need to provide an alternate address.

2. DISPATCH & DELIVERY TIMELINES

  • Ready-to-Ship Items: Standard orders are processed and dispatched within 2 to 3 business days.

  • Custom/Made-to-Order Items: Jewelry that is customized, engraved, or manufactured on demand will require 10 to 15 business days for dispatch.

  • Estimated Delivery Time: Once dispatched, deliveries typically take 5 to 7 business days to reach your doorstep, depending on your location.

  • Note: Deliveries may be delayed due to Force Majeure events (bad weather, strikes, logistical embargoes, or government restrictions).

3. SHIPPING CHARGES

  • Standard Orders: We may offer free shipping on outright jewelry purchases above a certain order value, as displayed on the Platform during checkout.

  • Digital Gold & 11+1 Plan Redemptions: When you redeem your Digital Gold balance or claim your 12th-month maturity benefit under the 11+1 Savings Plan for physical coins/jewelry, standard making charges, delivery fees, and applicable GST will be calculated and must be paid before the physical delivery is dispatched.

4. SECURE DELIVERY & TAMPER CHECKS

Because we ship high-value precious metals, we follow a strict delivery protocol:

  • Tamper-Evident Packaging: All products are shipped in specialized, tamper-evident packaging.

  • Customer Verification: The courier agent will require a Delivery OTP and may ask to verify a valid Government ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID) before handing over the package.

  • WARNING - DO NOT ACCEPT TAMPERED PACKAGES: You must carefully inspect the outer packaging before sharing the OTP or signing the receipt. If the package appears torn, opened, or tampered with in any way, you must REFUSE the delivery and immediately contact our customer support. If you accept a tampered package, Kalyani Ornaments will not be held liable for any missing or damaged items.

5. NON-AVAILABILITY AT DELIVERY

  • Our courier partners will make a maximum of three (3) delivery attempts to your registered address.

  • If you are unavailable to receive the package after three attempts, the package will be returned to our vault (Return to Origin - RTO).

  • In the event of an RTO, your digital gold balance will be reinstated (minus the shipping charges), or you will be required to pay a re-shipping fee to have the physical item dispatched again.

PART B: EXCHANGE POLICY

We stand by the quality of our BIS Hallmarked gold and certified diamonds. However, if you face any issues with the delivered product, our Exchange Policy provides a transparent resolution mechanism.

6. ELIGIBILITY FOR EXCHANGE (7-DAY WINDOW)

We accept exchange requests strictly within 7 days from the date of delivery, provided the following conditions are met:

  1. Defects or Wrong Item: The product has a genuine manufacturing defect or is different from the item ordered on the Platform.

  2. Transit Damage: The product was physically damaged inside the sealed box during transit.

  3. Size Issues: Ring or bangle size exchanges (subject to stock availability and applicable resizing charges).

7. THE MANDATORY UNBOXING VIDEO

To process any exchange claim for damaged, missing, or incorrect items, a clear, uncut, and unedited unboxing video is strictly mandatory.

  • The video must start by showing the sealed package from all sides.

  • It must clearly capture the opening of the package and the defect/issue with the jewelry.

  • Exchange requests submitted without a valid unboxing video will be automatically rejected to prevent fraudulent claims.

8. CONDITIONS FOR EXCHANGE

For an exchange to be approved, the returned item must pass our internal Quality Check (QC):

  • The item must be unworn, unused, and in its original pristine condition.

  • All original tags, security seals, BIS Hallmark certificates, and Diamond/Gemstone laboratory certificates must be intact and returned with the product.

  • If the QC team finds that the jewelry has been worn, altered, resized by a third-party jeweler, or damaged due to mishandling by the user, the exchange will be rejected, and the item will be shipped back to you.

9. NON-EXCHANGEABLE ITEMS

The following items are strictly non-exchangeable and non-returnable:

  • Gold or Silver Bullion (Coins and Bars).

  • Any jewelry that has been customized, personalized, or engraved specifically at the User's request.

  • Items purchased during specific clearance sales or promotional festive events (unless defective).

10. LIFETIME EXCHANGE & BUYBACK

Beyond the 7-day window, Kalyani Ornaments offers a Lifetime Exchange and Buyback policy for jewelry purchased from our Platform:

  • Gold Jewelry: Exchanged at the prevailing market rate of gold on the day of exchange (making charges and GST are excluded).

  • Diamond Jewelry: Exchanged at a pre-determined percentage of the prevailing diamond value and current gold value, subject to the presentation of original certificates and a physical purity check.

  • Note: The specific deduction percentages for Lifetime Exchange and Buyback will be updated on the Platform from time to time.

PART C: PROCESS & CONTACT

11. HOW TO INITIATE AN EXCHANGE

  1. Raise a Request: Email us at support@kalyanii.com within 48 to 72 hours of delivery, attaching your invoice and the mandatory unboxing video.

  2. Reverse Pickup: Once your request is provisionally approved, we will arrange a secure reverse pickup from your address.

  3. Quality Check & Dispatch: After the item reaches our facility and passes the QC, we will dispatch the replacement item within 7 to 10 business days.
